Join us amongst the 'story of Porty Pride' exhibition for a discussion with OurStory Scotland on the politics of queer archiving.
Exploring the beginnings of Porty Pride's archive to give us our context, we'll discuss why some histories get erased whilst others get recorded, why it's important to capture LGBTQ+ lives and stories, and what difference it makes to be able to see (or not see) the history of queer lives.
We'll also explore the multiple, collaborative, collective nature of queer archiving - and the importance of people telling their stories in their own words.
